We do things a little different here in Clawson. Halloween in Downtown Clawson means we’re going green & allergy free!
Last year was such a success as an allergy-free event, we can’t wait to do it again in 2012!
The Great Clawson Costume Swap
We’re going green with a costume swap. Costumes so often are a one-time wonder. Well, we’re taking care of that with a swap. Bring in your gently used, clean costume and get a ticket for a different swapped outfit.
We’ll take in costumes from September 29 to October 13. You’ll get a ticket for every costume you bring in. Then on Saturday, October 15 it’s time to bring in those tickets and trade for new trick-or-treat duds.
Costume donations are accepted too.
Drop off locations: City Hall, 425 N. Main Street & Regeneration, 126 E. 14 Mile Road
Costume drop off dates: September 29 to October 13
Swap Day: Saturday, October 13 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. @ Regeneration – 126 E. 14 Mile
*Notice: Costume swap will be on a first come basis. Complete costume swap is not guaranteed. Unclaimed items will be offered on our Facebook page for donation.
Trick-or-Treasure Time!
Allergies are tough enough, but miss trick-or-treating with all the other kids? We say, no way! In Downtown Clawson we have Trick-or-Treasure where the downtown becomes a safe zone for all the kids.
Kids in costume will travel through the downtown businesses collecting treasures and allergy-free treats…and maybe getting a few tricks along the way.
When: Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
*Participants should exercise their own diligence in determining if the treats, products, and services provided during this event are safe and appropriate for their use. Participation is at your own risk and the Clawson DDA and businesses sponsoring this event will not be liable for any damages resulting or arising from a person’s participation in the Clawson DDA Trick-or-Treasure Halloween promotion.
