Downtown Happenings
Random Acts of Kindness Week
Join Downtown Clawson in this city-wide remembrance of the joy in a simple act of kindness, February 15-21.
This year the Downtown Development Authority and the downtown businesses are focusing their efforts to giving back to our military men and women. We will be accepting donations at select sites throughout downtown, offering letter writing stations to send notes to soldiers overseas, and much more…
See the Events page for all the details.
And be on the lookout for the ‘Secret Samaritans’ throughout the week!
Another new business opens its doors in Downtown Clawson…
We are delighted to welcome PK Yarn Over Knit to our great downtown. Located at 32 S. Main St., this little shop is a feast for the eyes….an explosion of colors and texture. Owner Paula Kelley has created a warm, welcoming haven for newbies to advanced knitters. Read the article in the Eccentric for all the details….click here.
Open knit is all day on Saturdays and every Thursday from 4-7 pm. Classes will start in February…stay tuned for details!
Congratulations to two of our great restaurants…Royal Kubo and Da Nang
Royal Kubo….”flavorful food and fun entertainment make this restaurant one-of-a-kind” A wonderful read from Detroit Weekly….click here
Molly Abraham, Detroit News restaurant critic, named Da Nang as one of her most memorable meals in 2009!! Read the complete article. And a top ten destination for 2010! Another great mention. click here .
